The PMI inductive positioning sensor is a series of inductive coils that respond to changes in the inductance of an electromagnetic field under the action of any moving metal actuator.

WCS position coding systems consist of a rail with an applied code and a reader head that optoelectronically scans the code as it moves along the rail. The reading head is U-shaped and assigns each new position at 0.833 mm (WCS2) or 0.8 mm (WCS3), providing reproducible, reliable, and temperature-independent measurement results even at very high travel speeds.
