Signal converters protect signal transmission between field devices in safe areas and control systems by galvanically isolating the circuit. In particular, in the case of long transmission paths, signal converters avoid compensating currents that may arise from ground circuits. The signal converters also provide effective protection against electromagnetic interference or dangerous overvoltages in the signal circuits.
K-System signal converters include signal converters for transmitting signals between the control system and the safe zone, as well as isolated barriers for communication with field devices in hazardous areas. They are preferred for such mixed applications.
